The importance of early intervention cannot be overstated. Using a systematic, explicit, multisensory, and structured literacy program will benefit all striving readers.
Take Flight: A comprehensive intervention for students with dyslexia, addresses the 5 key components of reading identified by the National Reading Panel (NICHD, 2000), phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Take Flight is a two-year dyslexia therapy intervention  curriculum used by Certified Academic Language Therapists, and Texas Licensed Dyslexia Therapists. Having  a highly skilled and knowledgeable educator with specific preparation in the remediation of dyslexia to service your child, ensures instruction will be delivered with fidelity and effective therapeutic decisions and strategies will be utilized to best meet the needs of your child.

If your child has a diagnosis of dyslexia or is demonstrating difficulties in reading and spelling, we can help.

Take Flight Research Findings:

  • Students that complete Take Flight instruction show significant growth in all areas of reading skill.

  • Students maintain word reading skills and continue to improve in reading comprehension after one year.

  • Students with the lowest reading skills acquire the strongest gains from Take Flight instruction.
